Going online and getting an Avatar, is often just your character in an all-new digital word. These frame types are almost endlessly if focusing on all the frame options: strategy, roleplaying or shooting games.
Here are a shortlist of some of the game types that I'm starting to focus on, and are therefor aware that this list is in no way fulfilled or even close having half of the what's possible today in 2019.
What does MMO mean?
before getting to the list I will just enlighten everybody with the term MMO. This stands for Massively multiplayer Onlinegame. This is relevant since Avatars is often mostly relevant when navigating online and interacting with others. But when that is said, its still op to the single gamer to choose the skin, that in some aspect should be a representation of, taste, status, and in-game knowledge.
Overall Game genres
Aktion, Adventure, Fighting, Platform, Puzzle, Racing, RP (Role-playing), Shooter, Simulation, Sports & Strategies. The website Gamasutra was of big help, with there article on this matter og gengres and there historical uprising. If you find this as a long list, good luck organising every game afterwards.
Genres themselves have to be looked at as fluid. as Gamasutra states: More and more games are hybrids of the traditional genres: modern role-playing games often incorporate physical coordination challenges more typical of fighting games, and action-adventures are now more popular than either the pure platformers or the pure adventure games they borrow from.
