This blog will be focusing on how to analyse and perceive an Online Digital Identity. How do the concepts of an Avatar performs as an Online Alternative Identity and through what Digital Media are the gamer expressing oneself?
Questions like this are the main angle:
What Is the general perception of an avatar?
How does our society tacke and discuss the subjekt at this momoent?
Are the gamers expressing the same opinion as the media tend to state?
Are the media creating a perception of how a visual identity, should performe, and who should we consider as the user behind the screens. And does the manipulated view on avatars impact on the gamer?
This is some of the things that the channel will try to tackle by doing interviews with IRL living people, and how they express themselves through the media with an alternative “digital-identity”. - or is it an Online “fashion” statement that expresses a symbolic status in a cultural context.
